Are you interested in booking a farm tour, a small event, or class at Iowa Lavender? We would love to host your group at our lavender farm in Ames. We have hosted active living communities, church groups, special needs groups, family gatherings and more. 

Experiences On The Farm

Lavender 101 Class 

There is a reason many people find growing lavender challenging. It's not like taking care of other flowers. Don't worry though, we come alongside you in our lavender 101 class and teach you how to grow it as well as what to do with it after it is grown. We will tailor the interactive class to your groups needs to make sure it's enjoyable for everyone. 

Class Includes:

• An Interactive Presentation -  Iowa Lavender Farm Owners Jessica and Jason Mortvedt will teach your group all about lavender and it's many uses. During the presentation you will get a chance to see and smell the different types of lavender grown on our farm.
• Lavender Lemonade - We'll also have some lavender lemonade for your group to sample and try something new.
• Group Photo - The only thing better than spending some relaxing time on the farm is having a photo to share with your friends. We will also take a picture of your group in the lavender and email it to you after the event.
• Shopping - The Iowa Lavender Gift Shop will be open during your event so you can purchase some relaxing lavender products to remember your trip. 

Cost: Classes start at $300 for up to 15 people. Each additional person is $15. 
Length: 60-90 minutes on the farm
Add Ons: Want to make your trip more memorable? Ask for our pricing to add on some additional experiences. You can add on farm animal play time with our baby goats, and we have several options your group can make and take with them.

Lavender U-Pick 

Host a private event for you and your friends to come pick a bundle of lavender. This is a great chance to take photos with friends and get yourself a relaxing bundle of lavender. A bundle of lavender is approximately 100 stems. We have the shorter variety that is perfect for small stems and culinary uses as well as the long stem variety perfect for tall vases and wreaths.

What's Included:

• We will provide the scissors, show you how to harvest your bouquet, and we will wrap each bundle when you are done.
• You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy or bottle of wine to sip in the lavender. We have some chairs and tables that you can use to relax and enjoy the quiet country sounds.
• One bundle of lavender per guest

Cost:  $250 for up to 10 people. The price includes the bundle of lavender for each attendee. Each additional person is $15. 
Length: Up to 90 minutes on the farm.
