Ingredients

  • 2 (8 count) cans crescent rolls
  • 1 (8 ounce ) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 Tablespoons of Lavender Sugar (2 Tablespoons of sugar 1 Tablespoon Lavender - see note below)

Need some lavender? You can get it here: Premium Dried Lavender Flowers>>

Instructions

Unroll and spread 1 can of crescent rolls on the bottom of a greased pan. I use a 9x 13 metal pan. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar and vanilla and stir until it's mixed. Spread the cream cheese mixture over to top of crescent rolls. Unroll the remaining crescent roll and lay over mixture making sure to spread and stretch as necessary to cover. Next you can spread melted butter evenly over the top. I like to use a pastry brush to get it nice and even. Sprinkle the lavender sugar over the top of the pastry.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 16-20 min until edges are lightly browned. Set on stove for five minutes to let it cool. Cut and serve and be amazed with your culinary excellence. If you happen to have any leftovers, just store them in the refrigerator. It's delicious cold as well!

How to make lavender sugar:

To make lavender sugar, put the sugar and lavender in a food processor and grind until the lavender is in bits. About 30 seconds pulsed. Another option is to grind lavender using a mortar and pestle and then mix in with sugar.  You can make the lavender sugar stronger or lighter depending on your taste by adjusting the amount of lavender in the sugar.
